GLENN C. GUNDERSEN, of East Liverpool, died suddenly Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the East Liverpool City Hospital Emergency Room. He was 62. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, August 16, 1950, he was a son of the late Fred and Wilma Gundersen. A graduate of the Cleveland Heights High School Class of 1968, he later attended Cleveland State University. He retired after 30 years of service from the Red Cross where he directed its Platelet Donation Program. He moved to the East Liverpool area in 2000, but continued his membership at the Church of the Redeemer in Cleveland Heights. Glenn enjoyed traveling, reading and his dog Baxter. His life partner survives, Dr. Robert H. Edwards, at home. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Susan Radecki, and her husband Fred, of Cleveland Heights, and a brother, Paul Gundersen, and his wife Carol, of Westlake, Ohio. There are five nieces and nephews: Matthew Gundersen, Aaron Gundersen, Amy Radecki, Kristen Radecki and Nicholas Radecki, along with one great-nephew, Adrian and an uncle, F. Robert "Bob" Fritz of St. Petersburg, Florida. He will also be fondly remembered by his many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Church of the Redeemer.
