LIFSHEN, Dr. Jay David Dr. Jay David Lifshen passed away peacefully on September 11, 2018 with his loving wife of 44 years, Diane, by his side. A die-hard Yankees fan, Jay was born in New York City on February 8, 1951 to Maurice and Doris (Gorenstein) Lifshen. He attended Ramaz Day School and graduated from Cleveland Heights High in 1968. He attended Miami University of Ohio and pursued professional training at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Jay played recreational softball, basketball, and golf. He was an active member of Congregation Shearith Israel and was honored last year for his service to the community. Jay built a successful medical practice, served as president of the Texas Podiatric Medical Associa-tion, and was an elected Delegate to the American Podiatric Medical Association. As a fan and season ticket holder, Jay was honored to serve as the podiatric consultant to the Dallas Mavericks. Jay is survived by his wife, Diane (Greenfield) Lifshen, children Marissa (Daniel) Steinberger, Staci Lifshen, and Daniel (Miriam) Lifshen, grandsons Noah and Micah Steinberger, mother- in-law Shirley Greenfield, sisters- in-law Barbara Lifshen, Faith Lifshen, Melanie Greenfield, Cheri Shapiro, and Heidi Levenson; brothers-in-law Frank Greenfield and Jerry Levenson, and many nieces and nephews. He is pre-ceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Doris Lifshen and brothers, Sheldon and Rabbi Leonard Lifshen.
