I may not have been a close friend to Emily in high school but I know she was a sweet and funny woman who will be sorely missed. I will definitely miss all the funny jokes and well wishes to all of us that she posted on face book. I always looked forward to reading these and made me realize how funny and caring Emily was. Rest in Peace.

My condolences to Emily's family and friends. Though we were never close, it was easy to feel Emily's warmth, humor and sincerity.  She is gone way too soon and it's a big loss!!

I am sorry to hear of Emily's passing. We were friends at Noble Road Elementary. She always made me laugh and have a good time. After my family moved to Somerton, I attended Roosevelt M.S. and lost touch with Emily. She was such sweet person who brought joy to everyone.

Emily meant a lot to so many of us.  She was down to earth with a great sense of humor.  Her postings on Facebook were often very funny and will be missed. Weekly, we received a "Shabbat Shalom", and I'm glad that Jim has decided to continue with it. Emily would want that. I so appreciate that we sat together at our 50th reunion, and I remember a wonderful phone conversation we had years ago.  She checked in with all of us on Facebook, like a good friend.  We want Jim & Family to know that we send our deepest condolences and that Emily will always live on in spirit. She is unforgettable.

I don't think I ever met Emily in person and only in recent years did I some how become one of her Facebook friends. We didn't communicate directly but I would read her posts and she would sometimes  leave comments on mine. But when I read she was dying, I felt devastated.  No hint on any of her posts that anything was wrong.  I realized she was someone very special to me.  She had left such a kind and sweet impression on this Facebook friend and I would miss her.  I have seen from other comments that I am not the only one that had that relationship with her. What an amazing person to touch us all through Facebook. She was special and I will miss her and I will thiink of her.

I remember Emily from our days at Heights High and also from the 50th.  At the 50th she went out of her way to cross the room to say "Hi".   A warm and generous lady.  Having lived my life out west, I was uncertain who would even remember me.  Emily did.  A wonderful spirit.  She will be missed.  My deepest condolances to her family.

I'm reading so many beautiful comments and memories about Emily and all of them so very true. I met Emily in high school and she was always so warm and friendly. We reconnected years later on social media. I always felt so good reading her comments and reading the comments she wrote back to me. My deepest condolences to all of her family, she will be missed

Emily's smile always lit up a room. Being with Emily laughing and joking was a blessing. Her messages concerning getting a mammogram were always well received.
Emil was a very good human being who will be missed by every heart she touched.

I am so sorry to hear of Emily's passing. We reconnected at the 50th reunion and I would occasionally run into her when I was visiting Cleveland from Tokyo. She was a lovely, warm and friendly person. Her warmth radiated to everyone around her. Deepest condolences to her family.
