So sorry to hear of Alan's passing. We had (within the last three months, I think) exchanged some emails about our sisters, who were also friends. Since he also lived on the West Coast, I asked him to stop by if he and his wife came to N. Calif. I guess that won't happen now, and it makes me sad that his life was apparently cut short. Rest in peace, Alan.

My condolances to his family.  And as another Noble Road alum, it is sad to see his passing.  He will be fondly remembered.
