we played together at northwood.  aza bochers at heights.   poker, bowling, any excuse to get together.for over 60 yrs.  when paul moved to santa fe, our regular contact ended, but when we turned 60, lois and al levine, sue and barry barnett, peg and jerry banchek and mary and i reunited with him in new orleans, when we first got to meet his lovely wife patrice, a native of new mexico.  of the ten that partied together on nola's great food and even greater music, seven are left.  my thoughts are with patrice and paul's brother from another mother, jerry.

Paul was a good guy who I hung out with, mostly at Northwood. When I think of him, I think of Jerry Banchek, another good guy. I remember listening to Louie, Louie by The Kingsman over and over and over in Paul's bedroom trying to figure out the dirty words.

I also remember going to a party the summer after 6th grade at Candy Brill's house. Before going in we looked through the basemant window. A bunch of our classmates were there including Paul who had his shirt off. What? Wow! Paul was cooler than I thought.

Very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I remember a very kind person. As teenagers we spent many a Friday & Saturday night, and afternoon, playing Pinball at Cedar Center Bowling Alley. We wild away many, many hours and quarters (ten cents each or three games for a quarter). There were always quarters lined up on the Playfield Glass as we waited our turn. Except for Barry he was bowling of course. Paul and his old Northwood friends and me with the Belvior crowd. Always waiting our turn. I can see him now looking down at may game, (hoping I would choke) and his quarter wating it's turn. I certainly hope there is Pinball where you are. My Deepest Condolences to the family.

Paul was my best friend. From our times together on Hillcrest, to our times together on Traymore. Playing the ground ball game, over the fence at Northwood, football in the street, wiffle ball, board games, swimming day & night at Wiley pool, riding our bikes all over town, cards including Spit, chubbies, flipped baseball cards, ping pong, pinball, and so much more. We always, always enjoyed spending time together, never fighting or arguing. Visited Paul several times in Santa Fe reliving memories. Last few years, Paul bought an iPhone and we chatted on FaceTime for hours at a time. We could talk about anything and everything, always laughing. He was a friend of many, especially our classmates. You will be missed. Love you guy. Hey now!

I'm sorry to hear of Paul's passing. We attended Northwood Elementary together, and I saw him often in those days, where we played hardball, softball, and,(OMG), tackle football, no equipment together there many years running. And, I was often over in Paul's Traymore/Saybrook neighborhood teeming with Paul and  peers J. Banchek, B. Barnett, D. Tobin, M. Rose, and their sibs. Paul always flashed a broad smile  and stopped to chat in later years when we ran into each other, as we both knew how special those carefree times had been out on the U.H. streets, on the playing fields, and biking to and from Wiley pool.

R.I.P. my friend!

I'm sad to hear of Paul's passing, he was a really nice guy. We sat next to each other in band at Wiley. Our mothers were friends so I also saw him growing up outside of school. Condolences to his family.
