With great sadness, we announce the passing of Paulette (Polly) Schreiner (neé Davidson) on July 10, 2026, in Eugene, Oregon.
Paulette was born on September 27, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio. A graduate of Ohio University, she moved to Los Angeles in the early 1970’s.
During a 30-year career working for ABC Television Studios, Paulette had the privilege of working with many talented performers, artists, and crew; she cherished the memories of working special events, such as the 1984 Olympics, numerous Academy Award ceremonies, and the American Music Awards. She herself earned a Daytime Emmy Award for her work on the TV show General Hospital.
In her free time, Paulette enjoyed being in her happy place — her kitchen — crafting recipes, canning, making jam, and using every kitchen gadget imaginable. Her pride and joy were her three children. She was a kind, considerate, and dearly devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Paulette is survived by two of her children, David Jacobs (Cara) and Jeffrey Jacobs (Carey), and husband, Steven Schreiner. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Danny Jacobs, in 2025. Paulette fought the good fight. We had plans to celebrate her remission on a girls trip to Puget Sound. To know Polly was to love her. I miss hearing her voice and seeing her sweet face.

I was friendly with Polly in Junior High and at Heights, although we never hung out together. But at our 40th and 50th reunions, she warmly greeted me and made me feel like someone she was truly happy to see. Clearly this was a gift of hers and I'm sad to hear of her passing.

I'm so sorry to hear that Polly has passed. We go back to kindergarten at Taylor through Ohio U. and us both moving to CA. Polly was a sweet, wonderful friend. My prayers go out to her family and all her friends that were truly blessed to know her.
