Sharon Kaplowitz Barton, born January 18, 1950, passed away July 22, 2021 in Sarasota, Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother and husband of several years, Mike Barton. She is survived by her son Jay Hoffman and two adult grandchildren, Zach and Cameron Hoffman. An intimate memorial service was held August 18th at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland, Ohio.

Sharon had been employed as a teller at Society National Bank. After an opportunity for a career change she was the manager of a Boston Chicken franchise. Sharon was a warm, caring woman who always had a smile. She was generous of heart and wouldn’t hesitate to help. She loved music, dancing and road trips. Family meant everything to her! Sharon remained strong through medical challenges the last couple of decades. After the passing of her husband Mike, she relocated to Florida in 2019 to live with her son Jay until her death. Donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in her memory.
